Snorkel and swim with Whale Sharks in Mexico
Near to Cancun, the whale sharks come to Holbox Island off the Yucatan coast where the Gulf of Mexico waters and the waters of the Caribbean Sea merge. This nutrient rich (plankton laden) area is where Whale Sharks come to feed in the months of July and August. This “plankton bloom” provides the environment for Holbox to have the highest concentration of whale sharks in the world.
We take you in a 35 foot boat with two 275 horsepower engines directly from Cancun. No long travel time from Cancun to Holbox and then out to see the Whale Sharks!
This is truly a memorable experience! Test your courage to see if you will get in
the water and snorkel with these magnificent docile animals – or just view and photograph
them from the boat-

*Note: While we maintain GPS coordinates where the whale sharks are during the months
of July and August please understand that they move with the plankton which move
with the currents in the sea. We cannot guarantee Whale Shark sightings but we assure
you we will do our best. Please remember these giant fish are swimming in the open
sea and not in a tank or penned-
The actual time to get to where the Whale
Sharks are located depends on where there food supply of plankton is located.
The
actual time spent in the water with the Whale Sharks depends on the Whale Sharks
and the ability of the snorkelers.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GETTING THERE
Where is the departure point?
You will depart from a Marina in Cancun which is the
closest point from Cancun to the area where the Whale Sharks are located. We have
hotel pickup so you do not need to worry about how to get there.
We have a car and want to drive to departure point. Can we?
Yes, when you reserve
please request that we send you a map.
QUESTIONS ABOUT THE TOUR OR ACTIVITY
What should I bring on the tour?
Light clothing over your bathing suit is recommended.
Also bring sunglasses, a towel, sunscreen, and a cap or hat. Snorkeling gear is provided
but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
If we snorkel with the whale sharks
will we be in danger?
While the whale sharks are gentle animals, they are in the wild.
You will not have a problem if you do not make rapid movements toward them or try
to grab their fins and ride them. If you do you may be greeted with a tail fin that
is as big a door headed your way.Have no fear they will not eat you, they are there
for the plankton which you will see in the water and witness them scooping up.
Where
are the Whale Sharks?
The Whale Sharks are in the plankton laden waters off Holbox,
which is where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet. Depending on the exact
location of the sharks you will travel about 1 hour off shore.
Will I get seasick?
Seasickness
depends on the individual and the conditions of the sea the day you go. We recommend
that if you do not know if you get seasick that you take a commercial motion sickness
medication or use the wrist bands or patches that go behind the ear.
QUESTIONS ABOUT RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
Is it possible to make a reservation when I get to the area?

your reservations as far in advance as possible so that you are sure to get the trip
when you want to go. To make your reservation once you arrive in Cancun call us at

than that published price on our website. At the end of the tour a tip is optional

I send in a reservation with my credit card and what happens?
Once you send a reservation
we confirm that there is space available. Then we charge your card. We then put the
confirmation number on a coupon or voucher and send it to you in an email. You print
it and that is your paid receipt for the tour. You present the coupon at check in.
What happens if there is no space in the day or time I want?
If there is no space
for the day and time you want we will not charge your card. We will call or email
you immediately and make a recommendation as to when you may be able to do the event.
Should I send in my credit card with the reservation?
Yes because you have a much
better chance of getting the tour the less time that goes by before the departure.
If there is no space available we will not charge your credit card but advise when
the tour is available closest to the date you want. If you send in a reservation
form without a credit card number inquiring about availability then we respond, simply
more time passes giving the tour more time to fill up. Again once you are ready to
reserve it is best to send your reservation with a credit card. Please remember no
reservation is made until we have payment via your credit card or by other means.
How can I check the status of my reservation?
It is our objective that you know what
is happening with your reservation. We will send you an update if we are going to
be more than 48 hours getting you a response. If 48 hours has gone by and you have
gotten no update or coupon please call 1-
