Kukulkan Plaza . Is a 60,000 square meter shopping center that has more than 250 shops and boutiques in a close and safe environment, 6 specialty restaurants, bars, cafes, 2 theaters and bowling alley, as well as a Food Court offering 9 different options.

Plaza La Isla The largest and glittering, ultra trendy (and ultra expensive) Cancun’s Plaza La Isla Shopping Village is on the Nichupte Lagoon under a giant canopy. A series of canals and small bridges are designed to give the place a Venetian look. In addition to a wide range of shops, the mall has a marina, an aquarium, a disco, restaurants, and movie theaters.

Flamingo Plaza is a small, high-tech plaza beautifully decorated with marble. It has designer, duty-free, and sportswear shops, an exchange booth, and two boutiques selling imports. Among other facilities you can find bank and ATM. Famous restaurants are located here like Jimmy Buffet’s Margarita Ville, Outback Steak House, Pat O'brien's and Bubba Gumps

Plaza Caracol The most contemporary of the malls, it is located north of the Convention Center. It houses about 200 shops and boutiques, including two pharmacies, art galleries, a currency exchange, and folk-art and jewelry shops, as well as cafes and restaurants. Boutiques include Benetton, Bally, Gucci, and Ralph Lauren, with prices lower than their U.S. counterparts. Also here you can find the office of the American Consulate and Canadian Consulate.

The Forum by the Sea is a sparkling entertainment/shopping plaza in the Zone. This three-level plaza offers Cancun's biggest selection of cinemas, brand-name stores, and restaurants in a circus-like atmosphere. Plaza Forum by the sea houses the Carlos and Charlie's, Hard Rock Cafe Cancun, Rainforest Restaurant and it is located next door to The City disco and across from the disco’s Dady'O and Dady Rock, very near to the Bulldog cafe and club.

Plaza Las Americas is a shopping mall located in downtown Cancun. Its 50-plus stores, three restaurants, eight movie theaters, ATM, book stores, pharmacy, video arcade, fast-food outlets, and three large department stores will make you think you're back home. It houses JC Penney, Sears, Liverpool, J&C, Pelletier, Sanborns, Mama Roma's, Chedraui supermarket and much more beautiful decorated stores. Ask to any taxi driver to take you there.  

Market 28 commonly called mercado veintiocho. A good spot to check out souvenirs and handcrafts. Find the most ample variety of items you can imagine, beautiful pieces of art hand made by Mexicans, silver jewelry, pottery. Just off Avenida Yaxchilan and Sunyaxchen one block away from the post office, This popular market is filled with shops selling many of the same souvenir items found in the Hotel Zone, but at half prices. It is like a huge flea market where you can deal the price with the vendors. After you visit this market don't forget to go to Plaza Bonita located just a few meters away the market.   

 

Market Ki-Huic (Downtown)  

The place to deal with the local vendors all kind of handcrafts, Mexican blankets, sombreros, silver items. Located in downtown this place is crowded by tourists all the time. This is the first stop on Tulum Ave. If your on and R1 bus.  From here you can walk just about anywhere in Cancun or get a taxi easy.

 

Coral Negro  - Hotel Zone

Coral Negro, next to the Convention Center, is the only open-air market in the Hotel Zone, with about 50 stalls selling craft items. It's open seven days a week until late evening.  More expensive than downtown.  All markets are cheaper downtown.

Soriana. Supermarket and department stores. Groceries, fresh vegetables, bakery, food court, 2 ATM, pet shop, boutiques, book store, clothing, sporting goods, tools, electronics, pharmacy.

Address: Ave. Andrés Quintana Roo & Ave. Kabah #S/N.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R2 or R15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Chedraui Kabah bus stop and just cross the avenue.

Cancun Super Markets

The following super markets are located in downtown. If you wish to buy at very reasonable prices groceries, bakery, casual clothing, shoes, beach towels, sun blockers, souvenirs or just to watch around, the Cancun's super stores are the right place. All of them open at 7:00 AM and close at midnight although the Walmart and Mega Comercial Mexicana are open 24 hours a day.

Walmart Cancun. Supermarket, good quality of products. Groceries, clothing electronics, pharmacy, food court, bank, 3 ATM.

Address: 3 Stores Labna Ave & Ave. Andres Q. Roo and Gran Plaza in Nichupte Avenue.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R2 or R15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Walmart bus stop, walk one block and there you are, within walking distance you can get the Sam's Club market.

Costco Cancun. Members only supermarket, very good quality of products. Groceries, clothing electronics, pharmacy, food court, 2 ATM, food court.

Address: Kabah Avenue

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Walmart bus stop, from there we recommend you to take a cab. It is located five blocks west from Walmart.   

Mega Comercial Mexicana. supermarket, open 24 hours a day. Groceries, clothing electronics, pharmacy, food court, 5 ATM, Bank.

Address: 3 Stores, Kabah Avenue near Costco, Downtown on Uxmal Avenue and Lopez Portillo and Libramiento Kabah.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Walmart bus stop, from there we recommend you to take a cab. It is located five blocks west from Walmart.  

 

Chedraui. Groceries, meat, poultry, dairy products, bakery, pharmacy, clothing, electronics, 1 ATM, This is one of the less expensive super markets in town. Local people buy their groceries here at very reasonable prices.

Address: 4 Stores, Plaza Las Americas, Tulum Avenue, Kabah Avenue, Lopez Portillo Avenue.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R1 or R2 .Get off at the first bus stop in town then walk south around five blocks, ask for Plaza las Americas Mall, there is another store just in front of the Social security hospital across the shell fountain in Tulum Avenue.   

Bodega Gigante. Super Market, Groceries, clothing electronics, pharmacy, tools, hardware, toys, housing appliances, departmental stores where you can find clothing, gift stores, hair shop, shoe store, block buster video, 2 restaurants, 1 bank, 2 ATM.

Address: 2 Stores, Avenida de la Luna and Plaza Cancun 2000

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the corner of Multi plaza Gigante. Services nearby: Bancomer (bank), Scotia Bank, Banorte (bank), travel agency, Mexicana de Aviacion office, Restaurant Tok's, Restaurant La Parrilla, Gas Station.  

The Home Depot Cancun. Hardware, tools, garden appliances, plants, paint, house appliances, electronics, 1 ATM.

Address: Blvd. Luis D. Colosio 1 block south of Plaza Las Americas.

 

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R1 "Ruta 1" Get off at the first bus stop in town then walk south around five blocks, ask for Plaza las Americas Mall, once you get there just walk one block to the south.   

Sam's Club Cancun. If you are member of this club you know what you can find at those kind of stores at excellent prices. Electronics, ATM, pizza, pharmacy, groceries, computers, clothing, liquors, tools, etc.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R2 or R15 and ask the driver to drop you off at the Walmart bus stop, walk one block and there you are, within walking distance you can get the Walmart Super Market.

CITY CLUB HOME & BUSINESS CANCUN (Price Club). This store has a similar system than Sam's Club, it belongs to the Mexican Chain of supermarkets named Soriana. Membership is required.

 

Address: Ave. Andres Quintana Roo & Ave. Kohunlich #S/N.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R2 or R15 and ask the driver to drop you off at the Chedraui Kabah bus stop and just cross the avenue and you'll see the Soriana Store, walk to the west around 3 blocks and you'll be there..

 

Plaza Hollywood Cancun

Near Sam's Club and Wal Mart in downtown, home to Starbucks, La Europea, and many stores, banks, offices, gym and more. At the corner of Coba and Palenque.

 

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus R2 or the R15 "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Walmart bus stop, walk one block and there you are, within walking distance you can get the Walmart Super Market.

La Gran Plaza

This new shopping mall opened last May 31, 2006. Many stores, gift shops, clothing, book store, 15 movie theathers, department stores, food court, super market Wal Mart, Burguer King, Suburbia (JC Penney like)...

Address: Ave. Nichupte #S/N.

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the corner of Plaza Gigante, walk to the west around 3 blocks and you'll be there..

Paseo Cancun

Behind the Soriana Super Market. The newest shopping mall in town, it has restaurants, boutiques, movie teathers, pet shop, clothing apparels, shoe stores. The famous restaurants Hooters and the Sirloin Stockade are located in this mall.

 

How to get there? If you come from the hotel zone take the bus "Ruta 15" and ask the driver to drop you off at the Chedraui Kabah bus stop and just cross the avenue, pass the Soriana and walk one block to the west.
